Hi my cob has got loose droppings the consistency of cow pats. He has been out in a large grass field with a companion for four weeks and gets a couple of carrots of day and some morning hay provided by the other horses owner. Her hay is different to mine (the horses seem to like it more). Could this be what is causing it? He is acting as normal, no signs of illness etc. Thanks in advance.

I would advise worming for redworm. I use equest pramox. My boy had horrendous redworm damage. I would never risk not worming a horse for it x

The hay provided by the other horses owner that you mentioned may contain a lot of moisture in it and so your horse is facing such types of problems, I think. Try to avoid such hay and try Fibre Plus Nuggets as fodder for your horse. They have a lot of proteins and are also great for feeding loose on the ground to encourage natural foraging behaviour.
