Had a really fun day with my 4yr old today. I forgot to take tack to the yard so thought i'd do a bit of loose schooling (and some brief lunging) instead of riding, with some trotting poles to get her a little more coordinated as she can be very lazy with her feet. She was doing so well with that I decided to see what she'd make of doing a jump. I expected her to crash though it as she is so stupid lol But she actually popped over it pretty well, but dangly legs!! It was only a crosspole, about 1ft high so i decided to put up a straight jump that was about 2'6 and tried her over that. Wow, she has the most beautiful jump!! Head down looking at the jump, VERY neat infront (i wish Charlie (my jumping pony!!!) has been that tidy infront when i was competing him!!!!), tucked her little knees up under her chin and made a lovely shape over the jump. The only thing that let her down is that she was a little lazy behind. She didnt touch the pole, but it was a noticable fault! I didnt ask her to jump it again, but hopefully its something that will improve when i school her over jumps in the future. But, i was really pleased that 1) she didnt refuse!! and 2) she didnt knock the jump down - not a bad start for her first time ever jumping lol

ahh, sounds like she will be a little star when shes going. and will be a lot of fun .is she the friesian?, sorry,or im I getting mixed up with some one else,

Thank you! :D

Yes, she is the friesian! I dont have any high hopes of jumping her over huge tracks (i wouldnt have bought a friesian if i wanted that lol) but im hoping to do a bit of BSJA if she takes to it in the future :)
