as you may have seen earlier in the week we took our boys to a friends yard (partly for OH to ride friend's young horse to see about hunting her for him) to loose school them over some jumps...

we set up a little lane and then spent some time getting them to pop through them as little crosses then worked them up a bit. My sisters horse (dark bay, Tom) got a bit confused and wasn't sure what to do when he got stuck (not enough leg on you see ;) !) until Ron showed him. They both got quite excited and a little silly, but it was good fun. The last jump in the second vid came up to my belly button and I'm 5foot8, which I guess makes it about 3foot ish. so... I guess he does like jumping then! :D

Ron doesn't want to go first, Tom gets stuck, my sister whines about it and Ron shows him what to do

Ron last time through

and just cos he's cute... (spotted this over the door of one of the stables)

I'm here!

Things keep getting lost with all the plebelli posts.

They look fab! I think loose jumping is great for them.

Your fellas gorgeous. How big is he?

thanks guys... I was beginning to think there was nobody around!

MrsM - we must have pressed send at virtually the same second!

HH - which one? Tom is about 16.1, Ron is 16.2 (but at the top of it really), and OH is 5 foot 8 ;) :D

Great pics!!!! Love Ron joining in, made me giggle!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

ETA I'm here, but running in and out cos the dog keeps puking.... :(

Ooo Ron! ! !

I just read my post back and could be seen as perving at fella! :o lol

What do you do with Ron? He's got a nice pop over those fences.

we mostly hunt, but he'll do pretty much anything. He hates dressage with a passion and as you can see much prefers to jump! he was being a bit of a swine about being led yesterday tho Grrr...

loving the video where he gets 'stuck' :D

that self same over-grown pony went double clear on a dressage of 32 today (ok so it was only 85cm unaff, but still not bad for a horse who does about 2 events a year!) He would have won but for a dodgy jump judging decision... my sister asked him to come back to trot as he was puffed and was given 20pens for it!!! when questioned the jump judge said she thought he'd stopped! Duh.... FFS, there's a difference between a stop and slowing down 30m from the fence!
