Loose Poo 💩

is anyone else finding their horses have loose poo with all this rain and wet grass?? Ours has been ever so loose when she comes in from the field, it firms up after a day of hay (they are out at night) but it’s really loose in the mornings and until the afternoons. Took her to a competition today and she had pretty much watery poo… she does go more at events and in the trailer etc so I would expect it to be looser given she’s been going more today.

The other horse she is turned out with is the same, her vet said it was due to the wet grass and it should be ok if no other symptoms… she is fine in herself. It’s been like this a good week… do I need to get the vet to look at her? As I said no other symptoms and she’s happy in stable, being ridden etc. They are out from 6pm-8am and have lots of hay the rest of the day when stabled till 6pm ish x

Two of ours have loose poo too and I’ve put it down to the grass (which is plentiful) being so wet and green. They are out in the day and on a dry lot with hay at night and their poo’s always improve overnight. I’m not too worried at the moment.

Yes same with a day of hay… I guess I just worry as it’s been a good week but then it hasn’t stopped raining!!! Ugh!

I stick some comfort gut in feeds for loose poops
