Loose, unclaimed horses wandering around! What to do?!

[ QUOTE ]
i think i'd be tempted to call the police again - dont tell them you are horsey but say you just nearly hit a couple of horses on the road, and loads of other cars were having problems also. Maybe if you call as a 'driver who is in shock' etc they might act?

good thinking...
i wish my hubby was at work, he'd be able to send someone out... but he's off for weeks after a lovely accident where he was petrol bombed at work...

I am fairly certain the police would turn up, not be able to see them and go again. No way are they going to spend hours traipsing around the miles of fens looking for some ponies

Thanks for the links and advice guys. I shall see if I can find them in the morning....

A coloured and a mini - gyppo ponies without a shadow of a doubt. The trick they pull around my way is to either put them in someone's field and get free grazing for a few hours, or let them loose and some kind member of the public sticks them in a field to get them off the road. Apparently, they then offer the landowner money for their stay, and the next thing you know, you can't shift them for love nor money.

Any update Puppy? I wouldn't bother going to see/contact the 'travellers', if the horses haven't been reported stolen/lost with the police then my thinking would be that they didn't want them back!

But agree that if you do catch them, keep them hidden and all your stuff secure until you can find new homes for them.

QR - thanks for the help guys. I couldn't find them today and AFAIK no one has seen them. I shall let you know if things change.
