Loosering snaffle

entering in a few riding classes this upcoming show, i normally ride in a Pelham but lately felt he doesn't respond as good as he used to. Ever since hes been in a loosering snaffle and i dont want to change him back to a pelham.

Is a loosering snaffle accepted in ridden classes?

Hi. It depends what classes you are planning on doing.
For hunter classes you need to have 2 reins. Most other classes you will be ok with a loose ring snaffle. I usually take both bits and see what the other contestants are wearing before i enter the ring if i am unsure. If you need to swap bits before going into the ring, its not the end of the world. Just do it away from the judge!
