Who Has actively lost weight to make things easier on their pony?

Any recommendations for a program that works around work and horses?!

Improve your diet, drop sugar and move more.

Weight was never an issue for me when I had horses - I actually had to eat more to keep it on because it’s such a physical hobby.

Yes I have ,
Really as above firstly purge all sugar and processed stuff from your diet .
Then cut out one meal a day and eat only twice .
then cut down your carbs .

It’s really important to eat properly when dieting. That way you don’t have the crashes that have you reaching for an instant fix. So breakfast, lunch and dinner is really important.

Cutting out sugar as much as possible is the key, as is reducing carbs. Hi protein and having a banana handy for that mid afternoon low works really well for me.

That’s amazing. What’s a typical day for you food wise?

I have a protein shake for breakfast, mid morning I have a protein bar and some grapes, then I continue to snack on protein all day so I never feel hungry. Babybels, fridge raiders, peperami, chicken etc)

I eat my dinner on a side plate and have a no added sugar cookie biscuit in the evening.

The rule of thumb to go by is no more that 5% sugar or 3% fat in 30g and have around 60-80g of protein a day
