Taking the ned back to his field, bareback, in a headcollar with his lead rope looped resting round his neck, cantering him back through the stubble fields......whilst carrying a bucket of feed in one hand, and a big plastic bag of feed in the other!!!

[The pick up is out of action hence not being able to take the feed up there normally in it today for the ones who need it in the field a mile or so away from the barn.....I didn't just randomly decide to do it lol!]

Lordy knows what the neighbours and passing traffic must think with the random acts I get up to. Haha :o

I feel for my horse....he puts up with so much crap. Normally it's Hairy cob, not Bustie TB, who does them kind of jobs...but seeing as he's not here any more, Bustie has his boots to fill!

I'm quite impressed you managed to even move forward let alone canter.

If I got on my mare while holding her feed bucket I can imagine going around in circles while she figured out how to get it.

LOL. Hmm I never thought of this! If it had been my Welshie, then this def would have happened!!! Luckily TB isn't a food obsessive like her. XD

Ooooo - this brings back my long lost youth! I used to ride one of the local stables horses down the road, bareback and in a halter, go to the farm, and pick up a bale of straw. I then rode back holding the bale in front of me!
My friend and I also used to ride double, bareback and again in a halter, to the sweet shop, and use our riding hats to carry the sweets back! This was mostly done at canter along the verge.
Now it is scary to ride at walk on the road, with all your hi-vis on.
