I have just come back from my morning ride to have yet had another near miss with a lorry on very narrow lanes. This is the 3rd incident in as many weeks where I have encoutered speeding lorries or transit style vans belting around blind bends with me on the other side. The one I had a week ago the lorry had to pass me with his wing mirror nearly touching my face! He did apologise and said he wouldnt of seen me if I had not had my reflective on. The guy this morning I could hear belting towards the corner, I turned and trotted/cantered away for our lives - if I hadnt we would of hit each other - god forbid! Thank god I have a very rock solid horse in these situations. Sorry for my long rant and Im not sure there is any solution to this problem. Just keep wearing our reflectives and listen out with a good ear! Very frustrating though and as much as I dont want to get hurt, I would be mortified to have my horse seriously hurt on the road.
