Lorry floor coating

Do any lorry/DIY experts have suggestions about a floor coating I can buy fairly cheaply from B&Q for my ancient lorry.

I will be applying it myself.

The floor is marine ply (on top of hardwood slats), but has got slippy. I am hoping that I can paint something on it to give more grip, but wonder if there are any do's and don'ts I should be aware of.

Robinsons sell a roll on rubber for floors. I've got it in mine but i paid someone to do it (had I known then that they sell it I would have saved myself a lot of money)

Marine ply isnt ideal for horseboxes as it rots quite quickly and if yours is slipery then maybe its asorbed water and if so will soon rot !!! realy be best to start with a new floor as you dont want to seal water in , then some rubber matting or you could as op use the liquid rubber but i would go for matting so you can lift it out and check the floor,..best is aluminum or the phenol mesh flooring ....

Thanks very much for the suggestions. Because the lorry is used infrequently and kept under cover it's very dry and the floor is in good condition. The layer of paint which was on it has just worn off. I am reluctant to put matting or similar down, because I think it might cause the floor to rot.

I have had an excellent suggestion to add coarse builders sand to cheap paint and use that so shall probs give it a go. Hopefully the cheap paint will be a decent colour.
