I have just bought my first lorry :D its an older 3.5 tonne, I now need to insure it before I pick it up!
I am thinking about only insuring for third party, fire and theft as not doing too many miles and not cost me/worth a great deal of money.
So my question is who is best (and cheapest) to insure with, and do people do breakdown separately if so how much is breakdown generally?
Thanks in advance.

Ask for both premiums. An older vehicle I tried to insure recently was the same price for TPFT as fully comp.

I've used SEIB and NFU.

Would insure full comp as tpft is really not worth it!

NFU are the best but their prices have trebled this year

Shearwater, SEIB, KBIS and scottish are the ones to try.

Watch who you choose for breakdown recovery though!

Would only use equine rescue services

I insured through SEIB this year £250 for fully comp on a 3.5t with 2 named drivers (both over 21).

NFU was £360 last year and they quoted £520 to renew!
