Have been trying to sell our lorry now for ages and have had no interest :-(, really getting me down now because i so desperatly want to get out and about with my boy.
The lorrys flown through the plating as we knew it would, weve dropped the price, its been advertised on H&H, horse deals, ebay, pony club, and various other classifieds, i dont even mind a part exchange, im desperate, can anyone suggest anywhere else i can advertise it, i would have thought it would have had some interest especially this time of year and with a full 12 months plate :-/
sugestions greatly appriciated :-)

If its a 'good un' and goes well through its plating and is reliable is there no way you can keep it?

Sound reliable lorries are worth hanging on to!

Yes i agree and thats the annoying thing about it, its been really well looked after and well maintained and i know its a sound lorry, just needed a new rear bulb to pass the plating. I just needs to be a bit bigger for my lad or we'd keep it, its going to be a night mare trying to find another one in the same condition .

Link to ad please. Might be something you are /you aren't saying which is why it's not selling. I just sold one within 24 hours of advertising it on Horsemart.

What is the payload and have you put that on the ad? People are far more cautious about being overweight these days (and quite right so).

link not working.

Is it 3.5T or 7.5 T? Neither can go in the low emissions zone now, but outside that 3.5Ts are still more popular because of the extra lorry test non-older people have to sit to drive the 7,5T. Having said that, they should bother because generally they will be more likely to be driving legally from horse weight point of view if more than one horse on it.

Ours was advertised on Preloved only. That's how we sold it - had to put up with a lot of numpties and dreamers in the meanwhile. We put a price with "no offers" on that was about £200 more than we wanted and the final people negotiated us down to £50 above what we needed for it. It took a year though and we had it taxed and with a full years plate.

Some people were after a £10,000 lorry for £2,000 though and the number of stupid questions was endless!! ;)

Try: homeofequestrian.com
ad horse
horse grid
horse hunter

Alternatively print a poster and display it in all your local riding school/stables, that usually works as people very often like to buy locally.

there is no mention of the reg/year of the lorry, it does mention mileage but not much more info about the lorry itself. has it got power steering, how much tax etc 5 speed gear box i assume. I would poss say 7K is poss expensive but i dont know how old it is. Dont forget the horsebox bit may be fine but i wouldnt pay £7k for something that was an H reg box. The fact that it only takes 16h horses may be putting many off. i would put the dimensions internal and external

Think you need to advertise somewhere else other than Preloved - I know you have advertised elsewhere, but try again! Also it says SOLD WITH 12 MONTHS MOT - at first glance, I took that to mean it was sold! I think you have actually put too much information. Here is quite a good, concise ad with lots of pictures.

Put the internal measurements of the horse area - not that it can only take 16 hand horses. This will put some people off. Don't put all the things it has had replaced, as once again it makes some people think there has been lots going wrong with it!

It looks nice, but you are in a difficult section of the market with lots of others in similar condition / price. I think the biggest problem you have is the "no offers" on the price. It will turn people off from enquiring. Better to put it a bit higher and then ask for ono.

I can only see one photo - is this correct? I would want to see lots of pics - all the living, the horse area and the outside from a number of angles.

Also, you don't mention tack lockers - are they internal - as in saddle racks in the living/horse area, or are they built in? In which case I would like to know if they go into the horse area of the living.

I agree about not stating 2 x 16hh horses - that puts me off right away as my boy is 17.0hh - internal measurments are far more helpful.

Otherwise I have to say its a good advert and I'm surprised you havn't had more interest.....

I'd advise you to 'tidy up' your writing- you have some lines with capitals, others without, and things like dont which should be don't.

It will make a better impression as well as being easier to read.

Also- take sold out of the first line- it looks like it has been sold from a quick glance.
