lorry MOT centre Essex / herts

my lorry is currently of the road as awaiting an MOT and my nearest centres are royston or chelmsford and the next date is the end of August but really need back on the road ASAP - does anyone know of any other centres - that are not on the VOSA website - also can you drive into low emitions if for MOT?

Expensive option is to book it in to Oakley's for a pre-MOT check and get them to take it in for you. Other horsebox places may also be able to do that for you.

sorry if that's the one you've tried, but have you tried the Council one in Chelmsford? the one on Drovers Way?

Yes they are booking 3 months in advance at the moment however there are some private ones (you have to pay an additional pit charge in addition to normal charge) such as:
