We seem to have a problem with the water in our lorry living tasting stagnant and horrible. We change the water regularly but when you make a cup of hot choc or tea it tastes revolting

Does anyone else make cups of tea in their lorry and what sort of set up have you got for pumping the water up?
My OH fitted mine out and bought all the right equipment but we are not sure what to do next.
Will go to a camping shop this afternoon. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas

TBH we dont use the water in the lorry itself cos it too always tastes YEUCH!

We take a couple of bottles of water (we top them up from the tap) and make tea from that.

Which has reminded me - I need to change the loo .... ewwwwwww.

Thanks for the answers. Looks like i will have to do that too.
At the moment even the kettle smells so will prob invest in a new kettle and start from scratch with bottled water.

You can put some sort of tablet into it (purchased from caravan supply shop) which is supposed to help. TBH I have used them and not sure about it so now do as others have said and use bottled water for making drinks and the water from the tank for washing horses etc.

we regularly sterilise ours useing the tablets that you sterilise babys bottles with.
Seems to work and doesnt taste awful.

We don't have a problem???

We use industrial bottles of milton though as its a big tank!

Usually flush it out monthly with the hose

havent experianced this but we never really have much left after we use the lorry and put fresh in before we use it again sorry not much use but hope u find a solution!

We always empty the tank and pipes after use.
and kettle.
Then rinse the system through with Milton every month or so.
No smell or taste.
Also check the water source and hose you are filling it from.
