What would the minimum width be for partitions in a lorry, but still be enough room for the horse to be comfortable. Silly question but i am looking at lorrys and i have seen one but don't know if the horse section will be big enough it is stalled for 3 but they look very narrow.

Our new lorry is 10 ft from the living wall to ramp, and this will carry 3 horses fine.

Hope this makes sense?!

Beware with lorries advertised to carry 3 horses, not all but alot will be over weight when fully loaded. Many sellers now advertise them as 'stalled for 3 horses', or 2 horses/3 ponies, to get around the problem. Just because 3 horses will fit doesn't mean you will be within weight limits. Police are starting to stop boxes & escorting them to weigh bridges to check loads....be careful.

normally the horse area is stalled at 2.5 ft per horse. we stall at just over 3ft per horse. hope that helps. for a 3 stall lorry we have a 10 ft horse area.
