Can anyone tell me when you have a plating done on a 7.5t do they check the flooring? I mean the metal supporting beams that the horse and living area sits on not the wooden flooring ? Thanks

Yes but not that thoroughly!! its a check to see if the body is secure on the chassis so unless there is somehing obvious it will pass..
if you are not sure about it get a reputable mecanic to check it over... a plateing or mot does not replace servicing or regular safety checks.....just means it was up to a standard on the day of test...
 
I thought they checked whether it was safe to carry horses as well floor wise. But Ive found some holes in my box and also it may need a new part which is going to be expensive, arghh. But I need it doing so I can use it.
 
Dont rely on a vosa test ,regarding the floor or if the body is securely attached. I have just repaired one that a customer recently purchased ,the test was one month previous. The body basicly wasnt attached ,5 10 mm bolts ,all of which were pulling through the 14 mm holes in the brackets ,none had any form of locking washers or nylock nuts. A death trap!.
 
the plating is a mechanical check to make sure the vehicle is safe to be driven on the road .. for brakes, lights, axles, tyres etc. it is not a check to see if it is fit to carry horses/livestock.
