Is it me or are some people asking stupid prices for a lump of tat??, were currently sellin our 3.5 ton and upgradeing to a 7.5 ton we don't have any extra money to put in but i would have though the money we get from the lil lorry would have been enough to get a half decent 7.5 tonner but people seen to be asking silly money for real scruffy lorrys or am i just trying to keep up with the jones!!,
 
I think you are right. Some are given a lick of paint & suddenly they want £5000 more for it. I see some at shows & it's a wonder they are allowed on the road. The police & Ministry men would have a field day if they set up a stop check outside some equine events.
 
and the next question...I have about 4k to spend on lorry with minimal living, thinking Cargo or similar, not fussed how pretty but legal and not completely falling to bits....checked all the places I know for secondhand boxes and they are ridiculous...any ideas....berkshire area?
 
Tell me about it! I have been looking at 3.5ton and 7.5ton lorries and some look like they wouldn't be able to haul themselves off the driveway but the owners want over £6k for them! Deathtraps!

But then I am looking for a bargain and at the moment it doesn't look like there are many to be had..... Good luck with your search!
 
i havnt got a clue what ford cargo's are selling for nowadays but im sure mine is underpriced,but its not doing anything and has to go.im selling it cheap as the top floor will need replacing soon and i cant be bothered to get it done, if i did replace it now id be adding the cost onto the sale price. figured someone out there would like a cheap lorry and do the floor themselves!

I'm selling mine, although have yet to advertise it. K reg Leyland Daf, tested til June/July. Very reliable, runs like a dream, solid floor and ramp (was completely overhauled approx 18 months ago) but it's not a pretty box (no luton) so am looking for £3k for it. Be a fantastic work tool for someone, if they can get past the fact it's not going to win a beauty contest. Based Worcs, Junc 4 of M5
 
A woman at my yard is selling her ford cargo with living and room for three horses (I think). She hasn't adverticed it yet as she's going to put it through its mot at the end of the month. Nice little box she just had loads done to it new cluch etc. It's in Herts at the end of the M40 pm me if you want her number.
 
i had a cracking Daf for sale oct 07 12mths plate on a Gplate..it was an ex-transport business lorry, basic living serivce history..i put it up for 5.5k.....had SOO many calls asking why, if it was so cheap, wasn't there something wrong with it!!!!! because "quote" boxes of that age are at least 8k"...to which i pointed out "andthey'll still be for sale next month"...and they were!!!...

was bought by a local girl ...i've seen it out nearly every weekend since i sold it!!
 
shame none of you looking live near me! £4k would buy mine!

living needs TLC but mechanically sound and actually far more reliable than friends which is over 10 years younger!!! Not advertised it yet though as currently in for service and plate, it will be interesting to see what responses I get when I do as apparently what I want is rather cheap according to you lot
