Does any one know of a system to make lifting the ramp to a lorry more easy, without attaching anything to the brake lines?
I have a side ramp so cannot extend the hinges out to assist leaverage and my wife really struggles with it.
I think there must be some kind of pully or ratchet and jack system out there that could be attached.

Might not help but it's easy and cheap to try: years ago a mechanic advised me to keep the hinges/springs well lubricated with oil. You might have to struggle a bit under the lorry to get to them, but I only need to do mine twice a year and the ramp goes up really easily.

You need to take it to a good horsebox place they will fit new springs or alter the brackets so it works corectly...
