I want to get some matting to go on my lorry ramp. At the mo it's just wooden so quite slippery. I'm thinking rubber mats of some kind. I've had a look on a few websites, but can anyone recommend any or advise any to avoid?! The ramp is quite heavy already so looking for a lightweight option if poss.

Thanks!

When I first had my last lorry it came with a kind of hessian type covering on the ramp with wooden struts across it. Only down side was that it was a bit slippery when wet so after about 12 months I changed it for some 4mm rubber sheeting still with the wooden struct across it.

I can't find remember the company I got it from but it was very similar to this one.

The best stuff on the market at the moment is the Kraiburg all-in-one, One piece ramp matting it is rubber and the slats that go across are also rubber but built into the mat. Think they have a web site. Or see if there is a horse box building company near you, if you go to see them they will proberbley sell you some.
