After failing last week and being off the road because of the broken road spiring..she passed the re-test!!!

sooooo, a new road spring, new regulation mirrors, 2 new headlights, removal of wrong shaped reflectors at the rear (incedently weren't a problem last year!

Not keeping up - I didn't know the vibes had failed as miserably as the lorry. Am off to brush up on the mirrors thing. I'll be cross if my heated ones are not up to standard

Glad you are back on the road!

mine were ok...i just decided to replace them for the 300mm from the factory fitted 400mm because they are then "legal", and some jobsworth can't nit-pick...and the form the mechanic has signed is kosher.

the headlights were only just a pass last year so knew they would need replacing...as for the road spring..one of those things really...

the other stuff...being a jobsworth IMO..

big relief for you..ours is due next week..living on beans on toast and water at the min to pay for it all lol

Glad your lorry passed. Just out of curiosity, why was the lorry being re-plated? Usually they are only plated once and then just have MOT's yearly as normal don't they?

Well done and I wonder how he goes about measuring his thing if he is so picky about a tiny 50 mm but there again an inch can make all the difference

Gone are the days when a very tight pair of jeans, low cut top, sexy red leather jacket and boots used to guarantee my bike and car's MOTs. Things are too regulated and I ain't what I used to be

Luckily I have a very deaf chap who MOTs my Harley and is bribed with sweeties.

Glad it passed

Mine died a dire death. I loved my lorry

I actually cried when she was taken away!

Ah well. Hubby says I can have another one when I can afford to spend half the value of a small nation's national output on it. Ho hum.

*mumbles off back to software fiddling, dreaming of a big shiny lorrybox*

Sounds like 1 of the testers where I go. He has a reputation for being anal, especially about horse boxes as he doesn't think they should be on the road. He failed me last year for my side reflectors being 5mm thick rather than 3mm thick. He has also failed people for having baling twine on the side and phone chargers stuck to the window!
