I am now fortunate to have a lorry with decent living and plan to do a few away shows over the summer.

Having not done it before I am not sure what to have on board - in both living and also for the horses.

What are peoples must haves and general suggestions? I have a hook up.

Thanks.

Microwave
Digital TV and aerial
Fan heater, so much quicker than lorry heating
Plug in kettle again quicker than gas
Toaster
Hair dryer
Glasses - nice ones and plastic
wine
Bottled water for hot drinks and squash as I don't drink out the tap
Saucepans
Plates - bowls - cutlery etc
2 duvets for each bed, much comfier
Lots of pillows
The hook rails which you can hang over things are good for when parked up to put on petitions as extra hanging
Long hook up lead

That's all I can think of atm!

Emergency box of food/treats.
Used to keep a plastic storage box with an emergency ration in it of a couple of tinned foods (beans or soups & tins tuna) sweet & also savoury biscuits, crisps, juice cartons etc.
Came in very handy one day when we broke down at 7pm at night 6 hours away from home, meant we could at least have a small picnic/hot meal of sorts whilst waiting for repairs to be done
I used to stock it at the beginning of the season & make sure all had long dates on it, then empty out the lot at the end of the season into the food cupboard at home :)

Always take plenty of fresh fruit, nothing better than nibbling on grapes etc on a long drive home :)

Finally, dont forget the spare change of clothes bags with 2 pairs of socks & undies in. Again, we kept these on the lorry & they did come in useful from time to time :)
