Losing the will to live looking for a box to buy, help please.

I'm sure you could get a great little box for that money. My friend has recently picked up a d reg forward facing lt35, old I know, but it has been looked after so well she cannot fault it.
The only thing I would say, is you may have to travel...I travelled for three hours to get mine!! It may be worth spending a day on the road looking at a few. Mine's no Oakley, but my mechanic says its how it drives that matters!
Floor and chassis rust should be on top of the check list. All lorries will have rust from being outside. Also a weighbridge cert, don't let them fob you off, you can always check out the local bridges online!
I know how frustrating it is finding what you want, it took me 6 months to find mine, but something will come up! Horsequest, Horseandhound, Horsemart, Horsequest, Ebay, Friday-ad!!I used to be on them every day, twice a day, my eyes are only just recovering!!

My mum thinks I'm obsessed as I'm spending hours looking.

yep I had a mechanic friend on the look out with me, one lorry .. was 20k higher milage and we didnt want to walk up the ramp let alone a horse.. not to mention a widscreen coming out.. when mentioned she said her cob used to chew the rubber LOL but hte entire top was actully out!

with the transits they tend to rot arond the wheel arches and its always worth asking when they were converted and what they were before, its fiarly easy to look under neath to look for signs of welding/rot

tbf i think mine is worh more than i paid, it was advertised for 3k but the owner only advertised on one site and needed a quick sale.

oh and it has a limiter on it at 55mph.. a good thing with a horse in but annoying as hell when empty!

i was also adviced against bying a petrol.
