Losing the will to live ...still looking for a horse to fill my empty stable!!!

aww sorry to hear this, I have seen a few for you but not local though :( shame I can't afford to go and buy cos there have been a couple I would've brought home me thinks lol :)

Horsemart and horsequest have been the best places for what your looking for for sure...but it's the travelling...

Infact there is a horse matching the description in devon but sadly he has gone to a college which is a shame as he was just perfect :)...:(

I will keep my eyes peeled still for you sweet

Cheers my sweet hows your loan huting going??

Its so soul destroying having an empty stable and no horse i wont even go up the yard now as they must all think im mad no horse and wandering round the yard!! lol :confused: so im up my riding school 4 nights a week riding currently!! The money im spending on lessons lol!!

A friend wants to take me to the local horse sales on the 8th march but im pretty heistant :eek: as im not experienced enough ...........

I know how you feel totally it's awful isn't it, I too have a empty stable just waiting to be filled but finding the right horse to fill it even as a loan is proving quite difficult :(

I am going to look at a 15.1hh coloured l/w cob geld 5yr old this coming weekend as I was meant to last weekend, but due to me being laid up in hospital I couldn't lol :)
so am quite excited about it, have had loads of people ring and email me with possibilities but to be honest some are really not right lol :D some have the quirks I am trying to avoid.

I will keep everything open for you hun..... see what I can find.
keep your chin up too though as a horse will more than likely fall into your life from somewhere so close you probably could've tripped over him/her.

I know a horse for sale in the south west that is everything you've described... But is a thoroughbred!! I wouldn't rule them out, there are some really dopey tbs out there :p

Also connies are really expensive, try for newforest crosses, they're good horses!
 
Try not to read any breeds out, i have the dopiest thoroughbred, he hacks alone and in company isn't at all spooky and is generally a nice fun horse who will turn his hoof to anything, and he's only 5 and been in 'normal' work since September ;)

Hi Kerrydevon, is Berkshire too far? I have a polo pony that is abit too docile for polo, looking for a home! She is 6yrs, about 15.3hh, out in field at present but was in until November time, very sweet, easy etc. i'll be honest i haven't hacked her but we are on alot of land that we ride around and she doesn't spook or anything, if you have some time to put into her she could be perfect, as she is only young..depends if you wan't something made or something to bring on abit. The most important thing is her attitude, and i can say it is very good.

NO NO NO.. bad plan, 90% of horse sare dealers rubbish, qua.. im sure you can fill in the rest selling under various names and bidding up thier own horses.

please dont do it.
 
Don't rule out any breeds especially a TB as they need to be judged as individuals. There are so many websites selling horses, can not believe that you are struggling. Avoid the sales, unless you can take an experienced person with you, for starters you can not have a decent trial. Most do not have anywhere to try them out properly, you will have no idea if they are a safe hack. As someone said try a wanted ad. Good luck
