Loss of appetite after antibiotics

My spaniel has had a course of antibiotics and a steroid injection to try and combat reoccurring anal gland infections. The vet has said if this doesn’t work the next case is sedation and antibiotic packing.

He has lost his appetite following finishing the course and I’m guessing the antibiotics might have upset his tummy.
Helpfully he will eat chicken and rice but is shunning everything else. Has anybody else had this?

Steroids usually increase the appetite, so whereas it could be the ABs making him feel a bit rough I would suggest a quick word with your vet.
