Also in vets..

I recently noticed my PBA has loss of hair (thinning) around the eyes, ears, and on the underside of her neck. Shes turned out with two other horses 24/7 and neither of them have any of the same signs. She has recently moved yards but moved along with my other two and hasnt had any contact with another horse the only thing that is different is them moving into a field next door to sheep.
The first thing that comes to mind is mites, as she has quite a flaky mane and tail but no signs of rubbing. I have the vet coming to do a vaccination next week, so I could get her to have a look at it for me but would like everyone elses advice before she comes out.

Thanks in advance

The fact that she has flaky skin around her mane and tail puts me in mind of an allergy for some reason. Has her feeding regime changed along with moving yards? Or another idea, has the new yard got any standing water, streams or ponds which wouldn't have been at the previous yard? If there is a heightened amount of midges at the new place she might be showing sweet itch type symptoms.

I agree, maybe it could be an allergy, I changed her feed over gradually from a D&H mix to D&H nuts since the move but there any no signs of her rubbing her mane and tail... There is nowhere for her no rub in the field as the post and rail is lined with electric fencing.
