As above, has anyone ever had a successful claim for loss of use due to ulcers? I am not looking for advice on how to treat/manage please, just the above. Thanks!

From experience of treating and managing ulcers, I think you might struggle to achieve loss of use for ulcers since there is a general (mis)conception that they are secondary to pain caused by other issues, usually skeletal/muscular and your insurer would likely want a concrete ‘cause’ to be found before considering loss of use.

my current horse had a particularly tricky case and vets and researchers proposed that he has a natural predisposition to them due to blood flow issues to the stomach.

so....my feeling would be that it may depend whether or not ulcers can be considered a cause for the loss of use in themselves or secondary to other issues I think?
