Loss of use insurance

Hello,

Please can someone recommend the best insurer to insure a horse for death/loss of use?
Having a horse transported from ireland on the weekend and want to get cover before he travels.

Do you really need LOU insurance? Companies vary on this so much.

Just bear in mind that during the first 14 days you’ll only be covered for external injuries rather than illness or colic. No idea how that would impact LOU but having battled with an insurer over an injury that occurred a little over a month into ownership I imagine it would potentially be a bit of a headache to get them to pay out.
