I have just looked through my policy with NFU and did not realise that i did not have loss of use on the policy. my renewal is due at the end of july but i have just claimed nearly £4000 worth of vets fees from them and my horse has been off work for the best part of a year and still isnt sound enough. I believe he is a loss of use, or will be in a year or so as i dont believe he will be able to do what he is insured for, he might be a hack at best.all his conditions he has been diagnosed with are degenerative so will only get worse over the years. can i add the loss of use to my policy after claiming all these vets fees or will they tell me where to stick it? im wondering if its worth a try. im not particulary fussed about getting loss of use money but as i have had to buy another to ride and compete it would be nice to cover some of those costs. he is just being a rather handsome field ornament at the moment.
