Posting on behalf of a friend...
Monty, Brown Tabby, escaped 7pm, 16th August from his Cat Box at the Institute Car Park after being collected from Ashlands Vets at Glusburn, between Silsden & Skipton.
He had Just had an Operation, and is shaved & stitched heavily between the shoulder blades (unfortunately Op also removed the microchip)
Owner has been back and heavily postered the area, and tried to find said cat.
Will be added to the National Pet Register tomorrow.
If you live in the area and see any signs, please call 01535 632608.
Cat is from Ilkley and doesn't know the area

Oh your poor friend, bet she is worried sick. Hope she finds him. Lots of posters around the area may help. He should be recognisable being shaved and stitched....x

Would it be possible to put a trap down where he was lost? He might be hanging around if he does not know where he is going.

Thanks all, no update at present.
The friend I posted for is actually a CPL volunteer, and works for said vets, and has been helping the owner.
She has the traps, so will ask if they've tried.
I gather the owner has been back night and day looking, but I suspect the cat will hide for a few days whilst he gets his bearings.
I'll keep you posted
