MISSING SINCE YESTERDAY AM, DARK BAY THOROUGHBRED, 16H, CLIPPED, STILL HAS TACK ON. WE THINK HE RAN ONTO LYDD RIFLE RANGE BUT CANNOT FIND HIM. IF ANYONE IN LOCAL AREA CAN HELP SEARCH OR HAS SEEN HIM PLEASE CALL 07887718451
cripes, he'll be freezing.
have you told local radio stations etc, asked them to get the word out?
poor boy, hope you find him asap, and that rider is okay.
I have pm'd to see if there is anything I can do to help.I haven't heard of anything but if he is out on the ranges then you need to contact the camp at Lydd who will get their rangers out looking. They know the camp well and will be able to provide the best help.Unfotunately they will be unlikely to let a civillian loose on the ranges as they are dangerous places to be.
I am local to Lydd and have posted about missing horse on my facebook status.I have fb friends with family who work on the camp.Someone may know of something.FIngers firmly crossed though that he has already been reunited with his owners.
WE STILL HAVE NOT FOUND HIM. SOME LOVELY "LOCAL" PEOPLE HAVE RALLIED UP SOME TROOPS TO HELP SEARCH AND WILL BE MEETING AT THE CAMBER CAFE TOMORROW MORNING. IF YOU ARE ABLE TO JOIN THE SEARCH IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, PLEASE GIVE US A RING IF YOU CAN. IF NOT ANYTHING YOU CAN DO TO SPREAD THE WORD. THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE POSTED ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGES. WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW IF WE FIND HIM
We are now desperatey trying to get the police to help join the search as we belive we heard the horse whinny but still are having trouble locating him. We have called the police who said that we would be on a sort of "waiting list" as it were....if you are able to give the police a ring asking them to send a search party...they might get bored of taking the calls and come out and help us....0845 60 70 999
if you can, i'd get a few very vocal mares to the area (under saddle), he's more likely to appear because a horse is calling him than because a person is...!
best of luck finding him.
Have spoken to owner just now to suggest Lydd flying club help. But.. does anyone on this forum know a kind soul with a helicipter who could perhaps enjoy a helpful look?
No luck to date with finding the horse, BTW.
