Lost my Horse last night

I am devastated my wonderful horse was pts last night after a bad colic which did not respond to treatment. I have had him 8 years and he was the best horse i have ever had and the one with the biggest character. OH is snoring on the sofa so no support there.
My other boy is already looking for his field mate. Cant believe he was here and so well yesterday morning.

I am so sorry, I think the hardest part about situations like this is the shock and feeling of unpreparedness that hits you as well as coping with the grief of losing a beloved horse.

How tragic and heartbreaking. I lost a mare like that too, her usual cheeky self in the evening but by the morning we had lost her.
