You must be feeling so sad, but please take some comfort from him having had such a peaceful swift end, with you at his side.

Isn't it wonderful how horses soothe our souls? When we are having the very worst of times and we visit our horses it all seems to melt away, even if only for a short while.

Your horse obviously loved you very much and you him. You were both there for one another and when he needed you, at the end, you were there for him and gave him a gentle passing. 36yrs is a wonderful testament to your care for him.

Treasure the memories.

I am so sorry to hear your sad news. We lost Hillock on Sunday after he broke his leg and Henryhorn sent me a wonderful message which said some horses leave a hoofprint on your heart and your boy sounds like he did just that.
