Lost shoe AGAIN I’m so fed up!

Presumably it works in the same way. I had to put Lari in two pairs of overreach boots 24/7 as he pulled his shoe off twice. I had a spare inner pair which I used to hose and put on the radiator overnight.
Not really, Keratex is formaldehyde based to harden the outside layer horn whereas hoof armour is made of epoxy, Kevlar and an antimicrobial agent to give a coating that bonds to the horn to protect the hoof from wear and damage.

Does wearing two pairs help with shoe pulling ? Would the outer pair need to be a size bigger ?

It certainly stopped him losing them. He had the Arma ones in XF over the top of the Premier equine ballistic ones also in XF.

He wore them 24/7 stabled and out in the field. I couldn't go up before work as I started work so early (well before the other horses were turned out) so it made sense for him to wear them all the time. Luckily they never rubbed and he never got mud fever. He'd had a big split caused by an accident a year prior to me owning him the farrier reckoned - a heavy overreach as he had a horizontal gouge growing out. So they helped prevent this too.

It was a good day for me when he had his shoes removed to go to retirement and I no longer had the stress of managing to dry out a pair of overreach boots every night on the radiator!
