PLEASE HELP my friend is desperate.

Her adult male Rhodesian Ridgeback, chip number 0870606651, small white patch on chest, went missing from Rugeley, Staffs area in August. (I know, I know. Long story behind delay.)

He's neutered so no use for breeding. She's really praying that he wasn't taken for fighting or something.

She has put up a guaranteed £1000 reward for his safe return, no questions asked.

Do you know anyone who acquired a slightly battered-looking adult Rhodie around that time? Please please rack your brains. Please pm me if you have any information about him, he's a lovely boy and she's desperate to get him back.

Is there any chance your friend could up the ante? A dog on Doglost with a reward of £5,000 was reunited just days after going missing. I am sure that some dog thieves read that site.

Vid states he has probably been stolen. Does your friend have a crime number? If so, may be worth putting on the site 'Its Been Nicked'. This is getting bigger every day and more and more people are looking at it.

Other sites are National Pet Register and Alfies Lost Dogs.

Quite a few people use animal trackers who try and track the dog through telepathy. I wonder if sometimes it leads people in the wrong direction, but I tried this with my missing dog and have to say I was convinced by what I was told.

I wish her all the best and hope she catches up with him.

PS: There was a RR in the Found section of Doglost a while back and I checked it against your friend's so keep up the publicity!

unicef, he went missing from a farm in Staffordshire. just didn't come back one day, he had the run of the place with their other dogs afaik, but always just ranged around the fields and then came back, till that day...
