Have been really fed up on yard recently, as we have a small group of people who think they are running the place. They ignore most of yard rules, and although they are annoying the YO, she moans about them, but doesn't seem to want to address it.
My 2 friends have recently left because of these folks attitudes. They are sometimes so rude and confrontational, e.g "I could shoot your f'ing horse, he's been running around in his field !! ( No [****] , he's a horse, and sometimes they like to run and play).
They gave my friend a load of grief when she needed to bandage her horses legs, going on and on about how she should be doing it, and checking up on her - she's a veterinary nurse.

They constantly use and move my things.
Got there tonight to find my feed bins totally covered with haylage from the big round bale, and I mean covered, they had also shoved all my stuff up in the tack room in order for them to spread out more

- to put this in perspective between 3 of them for 3 horses they take up over 2/3 of the room 8 saddle racks and 13 bridle hooks. the remaining 5 of us have 4 saddle racks and no bridle racks between us, and the rest of the space in the tack rm to share.
Well lost it tonight and left a long ranty message on board, saying they are either really rude or really stupid, and need to get a grip and use some common sense !!

Whoops, guess I will be really popular tomorrow !!!!!
Oh well feel better for the moan, and thats only the condensed version.

Sorry Ludo but the way I'm feeling tonight with a dearly beloved Moggie that I've loved longer than my OH at death's door in hospital at the vets, I'd take my biggest and sturdiest frying pan up to the yard and smack them round the head with it. See if that knocks any sense or decency into their thick heads. Life's too short for this cr@p off people. Seriously, can't you get a load of name tags and attach one to each rack/peg? If they can't read, you could get those picture ones they use in nursery schools. Then get a bit of coloured chalk and draw lines on the floor. If any of their stuff crosses your line or appears on your rack/peg, chuck it on the muck heap, no questions asked. {Sorry, been howling all night}

When I was on a yard and a couple of girls tried this when they'd been there a bit (moved all my stuff into a corner) and spread all their stuff out).. I had no problem the next day I moved all their stuff upstairs into the hayloft (which was empty). Made sure I was there when they arrived wish I'd had a camera lol

Me and another girl put all our stuff out normally. When they asked where the hell all their things were I said Oh, you obviously needed so much room you've been given the hayloft (little ricketty stairs to climb up and down with saddles etc.) They decided to apologise and actually ASKED if they could bring their things back down over in the far corner. We agreed. Never had another problem. You need to stand your ground face to face it'll clear the air lol. (Do you want me to come and give em what for lol). I don't have a problem with confrontations when peeps try to take over like this.

poor you every yard has this type i am afraid you either move tell them how it is or just ignore them they have no authority, good on you leaving the message let us know the outcome and you be ready with some good answers if they have a go at you

Good for you! It is very hard to stand up to people like this (for me anyway) and I would love to know what happens next! Why is it that some people just have to spoil things?

Good for you! I don't normall have this problem as a) It's me who has so much stuff she takes up all the room and b) Most of the liveries have individual tackrooms or share between two horses, leaving just three of us in the main tack room, which is great for me!
