Lots of horses to ride

I've started freelance teaching and schooling recently and somehow seem to have 4 horses to ride on Friday which is going to keep me fit!

Not complaining as the business is needed but after just riding Herbie it's going to be a shock to my muscles.

How many horses do you generally ride in 1 day?

Ooh thats good, hope you get on well with that!. In the winter time I have the two boys to ride at home to keep fit for hunting and then whatever Bec has down in the yard, usually averages out at about 3 or 4 as I lead and ride most days

In the summer time I wear myself out, I have three at home, six down at Becs, two at Robs and whatever else I have time to sink my teeth into, I lead and ride too, but in the summer its a case of the more I ride, the more I have to compete

Son rides three a day and I run around mucking out etc so almost as much exercise - sort of!

RosiiePudding - love your piebald. We have one similar and am very partial!

If nothing else it will keep you warm! My son is never cold, but then he does have to do 9 horses!

But sometimes I get a hand with 2 of them lol

Oh I am a very sporadic rider. Some days I'll ride 6 or 7 of mine and then I won't ride any for days. Other times I'll ride every day for weeks on end.

My muscles never get achy no matter how I do it though.

Are but is that western? I have ridden western a few times and on a nicely trained western horse it's just like sitting on a sofa!!

Most I can ride is 7 in a day, try not to do it too often but money is money and if business is that good then I cant turn it down!!

At home I'll ride 4 or sometimes 5 a day to pay off my livery.

Blimey Rosiie, you must be super fit! It looks like the I will normally only have 3 on a Friday so that's not too bad. I really wanted to teach more but every body seems to want me to ride! Still business is business so not complaining!

I do 2 on weekday evenings and usually 4 sat and sun - it definitely keeps me fit!

i have my own horse to ride. then i have 4 horses to keep fit, at the fieldmasters, i ride the fieldmasters 4 days a week, then at the weekend i have a handfull of horses that i get asked to ride at my livery yard. yesterday i rode 9 horses....and im at college doing my a levels.......yeah, right!!!

I only tend to ride once a day, but exercise 5 a day. Usually 2 lunged/longreined, 2 driven 1 ridden, or riden as tandem.
