at the Cambridge sales today!!!!! There were loads and loads of niceish looking (to my uneducated eyes!), 13.2 and below ponies at the Cambridge sales today. Lots of them seem to have spent the summer at a riding school. Are they just getting rid of them before the winter or do they just buy them cheap to keep them for the summer and then sell them on?

What are the prices like there? Are there many green youngsters 3/4/5yo (15hh plus)?

Its amazing the number of horses that go through Cambridge sales "having worked in the riding school", when there are so few riding schools round here who deal!

RS owner I know went to Cambridge sales a few weeks ago & looked at similar ponies. She was a bit suspicious as she mainly sells ponies to clients- only any that turn out to be patently unsuitable for novices might go to a dealer. She watched people handling them & decided to avoid on behaviour grounds.
