Depending on the amount really....

If a lot, I'd pay off my mortgage first, get the house sorted, then probably get a newish car and get a horsebox (soooo want one!!). I'd love to have some land and run my own livery yard but that would need a BIG win (i'd want to get everything set up, properly fenced and electrified and automatic water, stables, the lot)

If it was a little win, few hundred, probs put it in savings for horsebox.

If a few thousand, some to mortgage, some to horsebox fund :D

all of the above!!! :p altho it would have to be a very big win & id actually have to play the lottery to stand a chance! lol!

I would love to say i would go out and buy a nice well behaved horse that would win lots of competitions with me :p ;)
But the truth is
I would buy my own yard so I could take in Lots more last chance ponies like Lucy and Herbie and give them the chance in life they truly deserve. :D

A huge farm with massive amounts of acreage .... Then i`d get an indoor school built ... a fantasic stable block, and automatic waterers to the stables and fields ... Then i`d go neddy shopping ;D

I would firstly buy a lovely house with lots of land, a menage, stables etc. Then I would buy a swanky new lorry. And then at least one more horse, wouldn't want too many as it is nice just having a few to devote lots of time to rather than having to rush to get everything done because you have so many!

I might upgrade my car though this would be of latter priority. I probably then enjoy spending lots of money on lessons/clinics/competing etc!

First thing would be a nice horsebox and new car. Then an outdoor arena - which will hopefully happen next year anyway, but it would be great to have the funds to get a really good surface and nice set of jumps! We have a couple of fields that need proper fencing too so £25-30k would suit me nicely! :D (I wouldn't turn down more though!)

I've ticked house because at the moment the flat we're in is far too small really. But that sort of thing takes a bit of time, so the car would probably be traded in first.

Would you give up your job, though? I don't think I would.

Honestly?

I would buy the biggest piece of land I could get and fill it with unloved, homeless strays of all sorts. (Not including humans, sorry :p)

I'm horse hunting anyway without the lottery cash.
I'd like a house with land but, as I would like to stay around here, I expect a lorry to replace the 16yo 4x4 would be quicker to find.

Kittykins - totally agree. If it was enough to give up your job, I don't think I would (get bored with nothing to do lol!). I'd probably go part time though so I could do more with my boy, or volunteer somewhere, but I'd still need something to keep my brain ticking over :D

It depends on the amount! But firstly i'd wanna buy a new little lorry so I could get out and about with my new boy.

If I won a lot of money then i'd look at buying a new house, yard of my own, more horses. I'd also love to buy some eventers for the likes of WFP to ride for me!! :)

We can all dream... I've never even won a tenner.

a bottle of champagne, another lottery ticket and a tank of diesel...and then all of the above... and a house trained home help lemur (my husband has always wanted one!)

Blitz

House first, garage/worrkshop for oh, loads of project cars to keep oh busy and another horse to keep me busy! :D
I dont think i would buy a house with land as i like being on my livery yard but i would spend money on another horse and lots of lessons to get me where i want to be. The other goes with out saying things like a nice horsebox and a few nice things i could never afford.
So many more opitunities when you have money but i think i need a big win!
Ohh and a really, really nice holiday before i did any of that! :D

Improve, not move, unless it was a lot. Car/horsebox probs I have no transport at the mo, land rover failed MOT, apprantly the foot brake, hand brake, steering doesn't work properly and its leaking water and oil and the electrics have gone crazy. Oh, and its got quite a bit of rust too.

If I was old enough I would buy.......

A nice big house with a lot of land, enough to have fantastic equestrian facilities. That would include:

A state of the art stable block
Indoor arena
Outdoor arena
Horsewalker
Gallops
Swimming pool
(You can see where I am going- the whole lot)

I would buy a couple advanced eventers to give me experience at higher levels. I would have lessons on a daily basis with the top instructors in the country.

A Range Rover
A Lamborghini
A Ferrari

An Oakley/Lehel 6/7 stall lorry.

Would send my mother and grandmother on an around the world trip too.

I would need a lifetime supply of money. I have a BIG imagination, I apologise! :D

depending on the size of the win, I would put the majority into a big fat high interest earning account and use the interest to pay for me to tell my boss to do one, move to the country properly & get away from the city, have a lesson every other day on B and compete every weekend (and would need a horsebox for this!). Also would get another younger horse to work with so I could have two

Not bothered about having my own yard as long as there is a nice one about (there is) but might install some goodies for the other liveries to use, such as a horsewalker or a solarium or something. Actually, who am I kidding, of course I'd get my own manor house somewhere with 80 acres, a gorgeous stable block, lovely gardens, a cottage for the parents ;) an indoor and outdoor school with lighting and heating, a gym, a swimming pool and a few cars....

I think you need to clarify how much of a lottery win you're talking about - I'd need the euromillions four week rollover jackpot to do all of this :D

Could definitely do with new wheels, especially after I backed my car into a lorry today  No real damage done to either vehicle, but I need a new light cover on the back, and while it's in having that done, maybe they can mend the "pots and pans" noise it's been making recently, and ascertain why it sponaneously revs loudly when I turn the ignition key, and then MOT it and make it pass (). Oh and I could do with a trailer too ... a lottery win would be very helpful right now!

Pay off the mortgage.

Employ a house/animal sitter for a couple of months (I haven't spent a night away from the house/animals for 4 years) and buzz off somewhere nice to think about the next move.

1) buy entire nineteenth-century building here and move my friends into the flats at peppercorn rent.

2) buy the enormous, goofy albatross of a gelding that I fell in love with last year. Keep him at cosy livery yard out in Brandenburg, with access to a field whenever he wants (unlike at his current home).

3) Little Smart car so I can whizz from my townhouse to his yard to stuff him with carrots.

I like this game! Maybe I should enter the lottery in real life :D

As our house has just hopefully sold, I would look for a place with stables and land. Menage too would be nice. Then I would toddle over to Germany and buy some broodmares. If it was millions...I would breed German Sheps to, set up a breeding kennels for them. Hubby would love a DB9, so that would have to be on the drive. I would have my lorry resprayed, upgrade my car to Range Rover Sport too. Then I can retire my 2 4x4's to one being a yard car and one for collecting feed etc. Oooh, looks like I need lots, lol! :)

I was having this converstion with my OH on the way back from Alton Towers in the car last weekend. Conversation went something like this while driving through the beautiful countryside

Me: You know, if we win the lottery I will buy a house, with stables and land and a school and a XC course and start a DIY livery somewhere just like this

Him: I dont want to live out in the middle of nowhere, we wont get Broadband

Me: I'm gonna miss you :D

I would probe stay where I am cos unlovely where I live but buy loads more land. An indoor school, a horse walker a massive American barn and a huge luxury horse lorry one like Zara Phillips has ! And maybe have some more ponies

A fabulous yard, with super duper facilities, brick built stables, indoor and outdoor menage with martin collins surfaces, indoor horsewalker, warm water shower room (for horses), and I will even have my own gallops around the perimeter of the fields, and then I will fill my yard with horses, and have grooms to keep them all in tip top shape and to keep the yard lvely and tidy. I'll also have a gardener and have lots of lovely hanging baskets all around :D. Then I quite fancy a couple of horse boxes. I'll need a big one, but I'll also get one of those smaller equitrek lorries for when I'm popping out on my own to the midweek dressage competitions :D :D
