Just been reading how the people that won 3.6 million on the roll-over have six horses...

Congratulations.........Im sure they have said, like all of us,that we need to win the lottery!

The lady said that she would like a brand new horse-box.......really pleased that a horse person has won it.....

Cool, yea, at least the money will be spent on something worthwhile, rather than the bin man who sqaundered his on drugs and othe rubbish.

Lucky her (jelous)

But she couldn't have been exactly scraping the barrel if she already had 6 horses.

wow, how fab to have won that!
Think if it was me one of my first buys would be a fab horse box too! Have always dreamed of an oakley or leihl (sp!), the ads always make them look amazing!
What would your first buy be?
(note to self, must enter the lottery, it could be me next....!!)

Lucky thing!

My first spend would be a Hermes Saddle, I saw them on the stand at Royal Windsor and Id probably never dare use it at £4000 a pop but they were beautiful, the leather was so soft!

Wow, 6 horses... I'd need a lottery win to keep half of that, on my wage!

Fair play to her, though.

If I won the lottery I'd pay off my parent's mortgage for them, donate to an animal welfare charity, then buy a nice little house with a couple of stables attached and maybe buy one of those horseboxes with the living quarters inside!

Ooooh, maybe its a HHO member that won??

I have never played the lottery in my life, but I really should. I could do with a few million £££s in the bank!

I don't begrudge them a penny. Just wish it was me. Good luck to them. They probably deserve it. I bet the horses will get the best of everything now. Mine certainly would.
Not only that I would buy a big farm with lots of stables and rescue as many horses as I could and give them a home for life.
Don't think my OH would be so happy - he's totally not into horses but, bless him, he helps me when I need things repairing and has been known to muck out when I've been sick.
As for having 6 horses and therefore not needing the money - I had 4 ponies as a child and from 13 years old I had to pay for everything (and I mean everything) myself. Makes you appreciate what it costs and the value of money.

Good for her!

They say money doesn't bring happiness, but I think it does for horse owners!!!!

One day....... :)

Run that past me again, I can assure you I am scraping the barrel which is why they're all for sale whether I like it or not. :(

I meant in the grand scale of things. All of us here are obviously lucky enough to be able to afford a life with horses. I myself do t have money to splash out, as luke you it all goes on my equines. We all have our priorities, and ours is obviously horses.

But at the end of the day, horses are a luxery item, not like food, houses etc.

But who wouldn't want to win the lottery?!!

 Mine aren't my top priority. Neither are they a luxury, they earn their keep. Zeus has just spent a dirty weekend with a girlfriend which paid for my hay to be baled, straight swap.

Husband and daughter v horses? Family would win every time.

I think it would be fab to know there is no vet's bill or procedure you couldn't afford, were it necessary. That would be the most enduring benefit for me, in terms of keeping the horses.

Lucky them. New rugs for their horsies, do you think?
