I put this in tack room but then thought it should actually go here.

I did promise to share this video. I was hoping to get some stills of it but not been able to.

CC very welcome. I haven't had my riding videoed for years and I really thought my hands were higher.

My (non-horsey) OH said "you don't sit up very much do you??? You're all hunched!!" So obviously I have to work on that.

I have tight hip flexors worse on the left and I think this is evident. I'm pleasantly surprised by how Lottie looks to be going, but it's also very obvious to me how far we have to go...

Please be nice!!!

Thanks all!!! I'm so thrilled with her she's come on leaps and bounds!!! We scored just over 70%!! She surprised me with how well she did but I think it's mainly due to LOADS of groundwork which has evened her up so much. She was soooo wonky when I bought her. She just fell to the left not turn lol!!!

I follow straightness training with her which makes it all very simple and she can do SI and the beginning of HI in walk on both reins!!! I have seriously only really been schooling once a week the rest of the time is hacking out or in hand work followed by me jumping on bareback riding bit less on the micklem for a while just to keep her workload and movement up as she is a bit fat still.

I do think I need to up the amount of canter work we do. For her fitness but also because I'd love to get a couple of prelim tests done this year. I've been saving it for hacking mostly but I think I'll start to introduce it in the school too. We've been to one dressage clinic and I've sorted some lessons with my old instructor so I think we're ready to crack on now!!! Also got a groundwork straightness training lesson next week and off to the ST open clinic to spectate this weekend.

Love her so much. She's a pony in a million!!!

(Yes it's Langtons!! Lovely new surface in the arenas at the main yard now!!!)!!
Thanks again. I really must go to bed as I'm on call and I've only just got in as it is. Don't want to have no sleep!!!

Lovely test, super well done. :)

The only thing I would say (but I am by far an expert) is that she looks to track up a lot less with her off hind at certain points. But it's very hard to tell as I am watching from my phone in the dark lol.

Ah do you keep her there? If so I am not far away, regularly pass near there and I sold a pony who lives at Langtons :) She is gorgeous, think I spoke to you about Connies when you bought her (assuming she is connie and I am not getting mixed up?) How long have you had her now? should be very proud ! 70% is great ! Look forward to updates of her improving more :)

She does!!! It's her pushing hind leg and massive part of her wonkiness!!! She struggles with HI left stepping that hind leg under. She's had loads of Physio and her diagonal shoulder is also very very tight!! The 2 go hand in hand but it's a continuous work in progress!!!

Yeah she a Connie!!! I've had her 9 months now. Good to hear from someone local. Burbage RC will be holding their dressage events there now.

Must go to sleep!! The phone might ring!!!

Yes get some sleep haha. Haven't been to burbage RC this year but have been before, might go along to some soon with my young Connies so I'll keep an eye on and say hi if I do :)

Phone did ring lol!!! Just driven home in the heavy rain!!! Not fun Aqua planing along the motorway!!!

We're moving soon as I'm struggling to afford the part livery and now DD is off to school I'll have time to spare so going DIY again. Will prob still try to get to the next few dressage shows there though if I can borrow some transport!!
