Hi, I am hoping to pick your brains really, my mare is going to a new home they are wanting to buy her saddle which is a havannah 18 inch Lovatt & Ricketts Dressage saddle in quite good order only about 4 years old but I havent a clue how much to ask for it....I looked on e-bay and they were about £500 but I think they have £150 more in mind. any ideas on what to ask, I do need the money to buy a saddle for my new horse.

I think £150 is way too cheap if it is in good condition and is not an unusual width. I paid £400 for a beautiful english saddle quite recently, it is in great condition and I think I had a bargain. I bought mine off Horsequest, might be worth a look? Ebay is so unpredictable for saddles I find, whereas Horsequest seem to have quality saddles that make decent money.

Thanks Appylass, its in great condition apart from one scratch which cannot be seen when you are sat on it...and is a medium/wide fit and one of the comfiest saddles I have ridden in. Off to look on horsequest now :)

Oh no decisions, decisions, had a look on horsequest no L&R on there to compare I really want to keep it but not sure it will fit new ponio as he is smaller than my mare, dont want to sell it cheap as then will end up with something not as nice as the one I have now, I already have a black country GP saddle that doesnt fit anything I own so its sat redundant :(
