Love my new headlamp!

My lovely husband treated me to a headlamp for me to use for the dark morning and nights.

I was worried about having to do all my poo picking at the weekends which would mean no time for anything else but it's bright enough for me to poo pick properly.

Although I kept blinding my poor boy with it oops!

They're great. I love mine, so much easier than trying to hold a torch and do things with only one hand.

I bought one off eBay last week v cheap but then realised why, the light is fab but the plastic broke which attached to the elasticated band, guess I'll have to invest on one which costs a bit more than a few quid! Took me ages poop picking one handed tonight!

Could you not tape it on somehow till you get a replacement?

Me too. My husband bought me one for Christmas a few years back and it's the best thing ever. Mine has a red light option, which I only found out last night was actually better for not bothering the horses if you accidentally shine it in their eyes.

I'm thinking of buying one, what make is yours GM? Or any others recommended.

I do everything by head torch in the winter as I have no lights so poo pick and muck out with a headtorch. They are great.

I e got a proper outdoor /hiking one the brand is called PETZL they seem to be widely recommended, mine has a continuous/ flash/ red light setting. Don't bother buying a cheapy one from a garage- there's no point it'll just break or die on you. Mine was about £20 from Blacks Outdoor shop - brilliant for catching sneaky kids in the woods in America (camp America) and all the ridiculous horse stuff we do in the dark , lasted me 9 years so far and still as good as the day I got it, lives in my glove box!

Mine is a petzl too. It doesn't have a red light just a brighter and dimmer setting.
