Re older riders. (I am one). The oldest is 74 and is still going strong. Says she will never stop. Doing a long distance ride this summer on her Highland.
Oh, that's encouraging. I keep calculating how old I will be when Ollie is 10, 15 etc and worrying that I won't be able to ride him any more. I am getting on a bit too and he is my first horse so I want to ride for as long as I possibly can.
a woman i used to work for is in her late 80's and used to breed racehorses she has 4 of her home bred ones retired at home 2 are really naughty and the 16.3 goes up vertically but she doesn't flinch at all and when they come back down she just tells them to stop and thats it they are angles it scares me to death she must only be bout 5ft her son has baned her from riding because she would still be going now she used to make me get her youngest mare (15yrs old now) and get her ready so she could come out riding with me but her son always used to get to us before we got anywhere shes fab!!!
