Took her beating again today, she was very well behaved. She decided this time she could jump into the wagon, and proceeded to do with ease!

When i went to get her out of the car, i had got her and she was just sitting beside me, literally about the same width out as the wing mirrors are, i had all my coats etc etc and i was grabbing her bedding, towels, teddys etc. and this car suddenly came flying past the car, SO close, i grabbed her and thankfully grabbed her scruff as the car took out our wing mirror (thankfully jsut bent back!), it was one of those moments which goes so fast and i grabbed her with one hand and hauled on her, i would not have liked to have seen what would have happened had i not grabbed her. they were also on the wrong side of the road

Wow, she is beautiful, such a pretty head (and another one I assumed was yellow - duh CC, they come in other colours!!!)

And sounds like she had a lucky escape, what a plonker of a driver!

Well she is on the lead at the moment, but will do when shes off properly and actually working in the bushes etc. as when shes on the lead she goes where i go, easiest route

Ah ok, Otto doesn't wear his and he is still on the lead, but my Mum is paranoid about things like that!

He does get off at the end of the day too and if anyone would get stuck and kill themseles it would be him!
TBH he rarely wears his collar anymore, he is still 'working' on his walks and I would hate for him to get stuck! Don't need it to grab him or in case he bogs off anymore

Yeah totally agree re. collar, our old lab didn't wear his once he was trained, although she has to wear a collar as she runs away if she is shouted at!

A beautiful dog and beautiful weather for a lovely day out beating. I can't wait til next year when I can take my pup out for a day's beating!
So glad that the incident with the car didn't cause any more damage than a wing mirror.
