I wanted a decent waterproof bed for Bertie and after much searching found South West Pet Beds

First was just getting a bed, then saw you got half price spare covers (cushion only) then that I could get his name put on it.
Then decided Cec would feel left out….

They arrived today and I’m really pleased with them.
Feel great quality, very puffy but supportive. I can’t feel the floor straight through then I sit in them!
Can also purchase big fleece winter covers which I may do at some point!

I’d recommend if anyone is after a nice bed.

Excuse the worried faces, both told to get into beds that are not their beds and were in the wrong place 😬
Cats seem happy with them though!

Are the name patches removable? I’d worry I’d be emotional about it if the bed lasted until the next dog! I have baubles with everyone’s names on, got quite sad hanging Jake’s at Christmas. We still have our original Tuffie which Jake managed to chew the corner off. The OH refuses to get a new one despite M also putting a hole in it.

Not sure I imagine so as they are badges that are stitched on rather than on the actual bed. Bert is only 2 so I was happy to do it (evidently spud didn’t read)

I suspect maybe Spud just decided it was his! Bertie does as he’s told. They get on very well but if Bert’s in front or the fire and spud walks over he will move.
As old and knackered as he is he is still very much (kindly) top dog!

It’s funny though I tried moving spuds bed before, to the radiator etc when it was cold but he always slept in his spot. Didn’t matter where his bed was he slept there. Even on bare tiles.
So he evidently really likes it as he has for the first time in his life swapped sleeping spots!
It’s fine, he’s old and deserves the squishier bed!

I bought my old boy terrier à lovely cosy bed with a built in blanket (he has to be covered at all times!), thinking it would help him - and me, as he paws pathetically at his blanket and then just stares at me until I wrap him in it! (Manages to wrap himself up fine when I’m not around though 🧐)

He looked at the new bed in disgust and refused to use it, so the lurcher claimed it, and shoehorns herself into it.

I thought “oh the lurcher wants a bed” so I got her a lovely big, deep mattress stye one she can actually fit on (!) and stretch out. Whatever do you think happened? Terrier claimed it, with the addition of a blanket he dragged onto it.

Both of them frequently ignore both beds, and just sleep on the sofa or my bed in any case.

I give up 🙃
