After dragging myself out of bed and feeling relieved at the lack of hangover, I had a late start this morning, got the boys in and gave them a rest from the grass. After a tea break, I drove my baby four year old, who was a gem...

And then swopped onto my welshie, who I haven't ridden since 'the' fall last week- where I came off and he took himself home... So we had a quiet ride out today and popped into the pub on the way home and argued with said welshie about who the cider and black belonged too ;) - perfect way to spend the afternoon in the sun! :D

What did you guys get up to??!

Looks fabulous!

I hacked one, schooled one, took the baby horse for a ride out in the lorry (he was ace), then took the dogs for a walk round the reservoir, cleaned the car inside and out, and finally baked a cake this everning! I'm shattered, but it's been a brilliant day :D

Sounds like a lovely day.

Today I moved my two big beasties to my new yard. Didn't quite go to plan as one of them took 2 and a half hours to load. My lorry then broke down so had to leave it at the yard rather then bring it home.

Not the greatest of days but the horses are happy in their new field so that's the main thing

Sis and I spent the biggest part of the day playing with the new Rottie puppies :) Then rode the horses out this evening, another lovely way to spend the bank holiday :D

Lesson on the flat this morning and the boy was a star, then the downside, which was missing a barbecue because I had so much work to do... the upside is not only will I not have nearly such a mental day at work tomorrow, the weather was beautiful and going back up to put the horses to bed was just lovely :)

Your 4 year old looking great driven.

Schooled my 4 year old, stood other horse in lake to wash off clay after eventing yesterday. Day off from gym to laze in front of tv watching Badminton. Walk dog, empty muck trailer, clean everything used yesterday etc etc , now doing 12hr night shift. Keep telling myself it's time and a half plus day off in lieu which helps especially as used up all holiday.

Retrieved my boy from the field at about nine (he spent the night out) . . . he was very tired (think he walked all night) so gave him breakfast, de-rugged him, gave him a good groom, booted him up (fun ride came through the yard today) and turned him back out.

Took the sprollie for a walk in the sunshine. Watched Badders SJ on the telly (and chewed my fingernails down to the quick). Had a brief nap in the hammock and then headed back up to the yard. Lunged a very tired horse, hosed him off and then put him to bed with his dinner.

Barbecue with the family - much fun but have lost count of the mosquito bites. Cheesecake and raspberries in front of Top Gear.

Pretty perfect really ;).

Another fantastic hack out today for me, gorgeous weather, Ben was so good, he is still a bit spooky at.... Well everything, but he's less spooky and listening more, no more napping...yay! We had a lovely hack, did a bit of schooling on it, had a fab canter and then a nice energetic walk home on a long rein. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Had a lovely day out with my son & pooch, lots of quality time - we are so lucky to live in the High Peak. Then had a great hack out this evening with Boyo and his owner on her riding pony. First time we have hacked out together, and Boyo worked very hard (long rein at a brisk walk up a steep hill), and apart from spooking at a wooden pallet (please!) he didn't put a hoof wrong! Great day all round :D

I had dressage on Saturday, a long distance ride on Sunday and spent yesterday just messing about at the yard, bathing tidying up etc.....was a lovely horsey long weekend :-)

I thought mine deserved a day off so gave him a bath and trim. He loved it. Missed Badders, but too nice to be inside.
