As you all know Beastie is on her Obesity Management diet. Goig well so far however she feels the need to remind me allll the time she is hungry. Always begging for food or pawing and woofing to try and get treats.

Can anyone suggest some low fat foods or treats you can buy?

I would go for carrots or similar, maybe some cooked chicken or something too, I would go for human food rather than commercial snacks.

Or you could ignore her

A friend who had a portly terrier was told by the vet cabbage raw or cooked was a great food for bulking out greedy dogs as it took more calories to digest it than it gave back if you know what I mean. Any veg such as carrot, swede, broccoli, parsnips etc should be fine. You could cremate a piece of meat for her to chew on?

I do mostly ignore her, although this morning when she climbed and my knee and caught my eye with her nail (ouchies!) I did want to really tell her off

I thought human food would be the best plan of action.

She is feeling well though

Tearing around like a puppy!

I give my dogs apples, pear, carrots, peppers, tomatoes, bananas, cold cooked meats and low fat cheese spread!

Same here. Stella also likes pilchards, kale, celery and broccoli florets. In fact, she eats anything, so I can get away with feeding her the healthy stuff. I don't really bother with dog treats.

Is Beastie almost at her target weight?
