Last couple of months military helicopters have been flying SO low over our yard and hacking routes that it's only a matter of time before something awful happens. Today someone was convinced they went over her deliberatly I remember there used to be a number to call if this was a problem - can anyone tell me what of is? We're in N Wiltshire.

BHS will be able to give you the number I think. Also make sure the horses have fluorescent exercise rugs on when ridden. You can get mesh ones for summer so horses won't get too hot.

Do you all wear hiziz when out and about?
So they can see you.
We have them over us a lot the horse's completly ignore them.
They where a bit surprised when one landed in the outdoor school but that's an other story.

Make sure that you all always wear plenty of hi-viz when riding.
We have a lot of helicopters and other aircraft flying over frequently. Local hotel has a heli-pad and brides sometimes arrive that way, the police and air-ambulance often fly over the nearby motorway, our horses take absolutely no notice whether ridden or grazing.

Lol Goldenstar, years ago during a sudden storm one did an emergency landing in my bosses hay field. As a 19yr old it was like all my xmases had come at once. I went out with one on a few dates as a result.

Steady old girl drink your ovaltine all that remembering will stop you sleeping.

Military helicoper pilots are taught to avoid horses but they can't see you unless you are wearing hi viz. Horses very quickly get used to helicopers - my very flighty mare completely ignores them even when they are flying very low.

My old pony was scared of his own shadow but didn't move a muscle with low flying jets and helicopters!
I guess it's just what they get used to.
