Horse has had blood test and it shows low globulin and increased white blood cell count. Vet is stumped as the 2 don't go together at all. Anybody had anything similar? History is that he has had facial swelling and vet did initial blood test suspecting right dorsal colitis as horse was on danilon. Mild colic attack also indicated that was the right track. Danilon stopped, 6 days steroids. 2 weeks later and one protein marker still down - globulin 15 (30 normal for this horse). Antibiotics starting tomorrow to cover the white blood cells but just wondered if anyone has had anything similar? Horse eating well, weight ok, a bit quiet but not even that off colour. He is a very very special chap so any help much appreciated
