I have a Connemara mare retired companion to my golden oldie. She eats for England ! I have to watch her weight very carefully & restrict her grazing etc. She would be a laminitis pony if I wasn’t so careful. She also gets itchy & rubs her tail. Unfortunately she is becoming quite stiff & now needs a joint supplement. I would also like to give her Red Bush tea to see if it helps with the itching. What chop, or other low everything feed, would people recommend I use to include the supplements & bind together with a little water?

Dengie meadow lite - most palatable
Topchop zero
Honeychop oat straw - least palatable IME

Speedibeet can help with palatability and made up per directions has almost no calories

Speedibeet is a great option as it will help make the feed tastier with little to no calories added. It's also great for their gut and you can make it really sloppy if needed to help with water intake :)

I quite like Honeychop Super Senior and Honeychop Lite and Healthy - both are low in sugar and starch but also quite tasty x

My fuss pot naturally won't eat honeychop lite and healthy by itself but it's delicious with a bit of speedibeet.

Fast Fibre is good for adding supplements to as it is in a quick soak mash form that is low calorie and low sugar starch. Personally I find mashes easier to mix supplements into than chaffs.

Another vote for Dengie Meadow Lite, my fatty gets it to slow down her eating speed when she gets her balancer and it's a nice soft chaff, and also smells lovely and herbal

Another vote for Dengie meadow lite, Mole have run out this week though so I'm hoping mine with eat Happy Hoof instead. I did look at Honeychop Lite and Healthy too but they didn't have that in stock either.

Mine really wasn’t impressed with honeychop lite and healthy even though it smelt lovely to me. He loves dengie ulser lite
